When I wrote this entry, my mind was telling me there’s a song that’s telling “I’m here”. It bugged me every day after that post, and I didn’t know how to find it.
Later, I realized I’m probably thinking of America’s Next Stop Model All-Star’s Angelea’s song. No, I am not a fan of Angelea, she’s too bitchy for me, but I gotta say, her song is awesome. Very fierce and strong, very her, if I may.
Read her words, it’s so strong that you just wanna be just as strong as her.
You know, sometimes I hate being misunderstood,
but at the end of the day, I don’t care what I hate or got to say,
I’m that bitch.
My struggle, my fight, when I fall down, I rise.
Been kicked down time again, but here I stand,
Ready to win, and I ain’t goin’ nowhere
I’m here, I’m here.
Then kick down time again,
But here I stand, ready to win,
And I ain’t goin nowhere
I’m here, I’m here.
We can listen to this song while showering, and just be unbreakable throughout the day. Love her words! I’m here.
Anyway, a couple of hours ago, I saw this wonderful performance in Got to Dance UK. What caught my attention was the song. A line on the song says I was here. So thank you google, I managed to find two wonderful songs by Beyonce and Lady Antebellum. It’s actually my first time to hear these songs, and the first song I heard by Lady Antebellum (Don’t judge me!).
Both lyrics are equally powerful and touching. Oh how I wish I was the one who penned those songs.
Lines that touched my heart:
“I wanna leave my footprints on the sands of time Know there was something that, meant something that I left behind.”
“The hearts I have touched, will be the proof that I leave That I made a difference, and this world will see.”
“Maybe I’ll write like Twain wrote
Maybe I’ll paint like Van Gough
Cure the common cold
I don’t know
But I’m ready to start cause I know in my heart”
“Maybe I’ll compose symphonies
Maybe I’ll fight for world peace
Cause I know it’s my destiny
To leave more than a trace of myself in this place”
